

Sarah is a music educator and multi-instrumentalist with 15 years of experience performing across Jazz and Afro-Latin genres. Holding a BA in Jazz Composition, Performance, and Afro-Latin Styles alongside a PGCE in Music, she performs extensively on flute and congas with numerous ensembles. Initially self-taught, Sarah advanced her study under distinguished flutists Eddie Parker (Loose Tubes) and Neil Metcalfe. She initially studied congas under Pato Fuentes, Co founder and musical director of The London School of Samba and Robin Jones musical director of The Latin Underground and King Salsa. She balances an active career as a featured ensemble artist with her work as a dedicated music educator.

Sarah is a PGCE-qualified and DBS-vetted music educator specializing in instrumental, theoretical, and compositional tuition across primary, secondary, and private settings. Building upon many years of experience as a secondary school classroom music teacher delivering the National Curriculum, she now focuses primarily on individual and small-group instrumental instruction.
As an experienced visiting and private tutor, Sarah provides expert instruction in practical flute, recorder, beginner piano, music theory, and composition. She teaches students both at her home studio and within local schools, tailoring her approach to foster musical proficiency, creative confidence, and academic understanding in learners of all ages and abilities.
